Found this draft dated November 2012 before I MIA, a very late post!!! But love the photos in here.
Chanel Notorious Ombre Contrast is a limited edition sculpting veil for eyes and the cheeks. Its packaging is the same as normal Chanel Joues contraste (JC) with a mirror and a brush. I don’t own any Chanel JC at the moment yet 😦
This powder is buttery and smooth to apply. It can go intense or light. For contouring the face wise, I find the attached brush tends to pick up too much powder (or maybe I just suck at contouring!!!) and once I swipe onto my face, it is kind of hard to lighten / remove / spread out. I will end up looking like I have a grey line drawn across my face. Truth is, I haven’t really tried contouring for face, haven’t learned the art of contouring 😦 haizzzz. Can some one teach me please?
Notorious is a contouring powder, so it has very greyish undertone, supposed to mimic the shadows on your face. Though the shimmers make it a bit unrealistic before shadows don’t really glisten. But if this is just a matte mauve grey powder, it would have been super boring and flat.
So I guess, this powder is excellent for contouring gurus. But for beginners like myself, we need a lot of practice!! So don’t be too harsh on my face demo photos below (hahhahahas) Thanks!!
When I swatched Chanel Notorious Ombre Contrast, I was reminded of Inglot Eyeshadow DS 502.
Wow they really look quite alike! But Inglot DS 502 is more grey than Notorious, Notorious has a tinge of mauve in it, a bit of brownish in it and no obvious glitter particles like DS 502.
Sometimes I use Notorious at an outer V cease colour, still can’t master the face / blush contouring without looking out of place.
Thank you for dropping by 🙂
