Chanel Superstition Rouge Coco Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

Chanel launched this limited edition of Rouge Coco in Superstition for Spring 2012. I got it in Singapore some time in early this year. Chanel describes the revamped range of Rouge Coco as “New lightweight lip colour glides on for easy application, and features a Hydratendre complex to help soften, soothe and condition lips – even boosting their ability to hold in moisture – for a plumper, smoother and healthier-looking appearance.”

While I do not find the range very moisturising on my lips, it is not drying either. The formula is smooth and does not tug on my lips.

Bare lips

In direct sunlight.

Under normal lightings, less noticeable.

Chanel described this colour as Golden Beige which I thought is a good description. Superstition is a nude beige warm base lipstick with pale golden shimmer.  The shimmer is so small that it looked more like an overall golden sheen. I can’t really feel the shimmer on my lips so it is not gritty at all which is good.

Superstition has a semi-sheer colour payoff, which I was surprised because the usual range of Rouge Coco is very pigmented. I usually use this lipstick on days which I just want a subtle wash of warm-ness /shimmer to my lips or to complement smoky eyes.
